Storm!

The last weekend of November was very windy. On Sunday we even had a storm. So we decided to go to the beach. Nothing beats the wind in your hair and the salt on your lips on a stormy day at the seaside! Skye got all crazy. She couldn't stop barking. Rona was a good little girl! Loved the beach and didn't want to be picked up :)

Winter competition

The 'normal' competition has come to an end. Skye and I had a great year. We were VERY unexperienced when we started, but after a while we got the hang of it and even started to win some prizes! Very special was winning the grade 1 final at the Dogs in Need Agility Show!

By September we managed to get promoted to FCI grade 2. Woohoo!

During the winter, a so called winter competition is organized. It's a team competition and we were asked if we wanted to join one of the teams. As addicted as we are to agility by now, of course we did! Last month we had our first competition. We did well as a team and won the Team jumping. The agility runs didn't go as well unfortunately, one team member got disqualified, and two, me too, had a fault. It was such a shame as my run with Skye went so nicely.

Here are a few videos:

Rona came too, I think it's good for her to get used to the hustle and bustle of an agility show. She enjoyed herself very much, getting a lot of attention :) She slept a lot too.

New addition to the family: meet Rona!

Yes, we did it. We got ourselves another sheltie. It's just like a wise person once said: Shelties are like crisps, you can't have just one. :)
In October we travelled to England to go and meet little Rona. This little tri girl is Skye's half sister. They have the same daddy, but another mum. She is a wonderful little girl. Very outgoing, friendly and crazy! But at the same time very gentle with our little boy Hidde. I fell in love with her straight away. On November 1st she travelled back to the Netherlands with us. Quite a journey for a little puppy, more than a few hours in the car and a night on the ferry as well. But she did very well. Both sisters are great travellers!

Here are some pictures from the first weeks.
Helping unpack to groceries (or just looking for meat, hahaha!)

She loves to tug!!

And in the train! No problem at all!
